Cultural and Organizational Drivers of Open Educational Content

چکیده
The purpose of this essay is to consider the cultural and organizational issues behind the creation of open educational content. In it I argue that there are many benefits to the individual, to the educational institution, and to society at large from open educational content and, further, that such educational content has to be part of a wider context of open resources across the research, education, and cultural domains.
